There is a saying at ShopWildThings and that is "The Best People in the World Own Beaded Curtains". That"s partly because we love Bead Curtains but MOSTLY because we love our customers. We find that our customers are extraordinarily creative both in their homes and when they are creating spectacular scenes for their own clients.

We have been designing, manufacturing, importing, exporting, customizing and loving Beaded Curtains since the early 90"s. We are the absolute authority on all things Beaded Curtains from real glass, metal, to acrylic styles. We have a huge portion of our warehouses filled with nothing but beads!

Beaded Curtains have an abundance of uses:
With so many uses for Beaded Curtains, and with the HUGE selection offered here at ShopWildThings, you might wonder which types of Beaded Curtains are best for your application. These are the materials we have available. The descriptions will help you choose the right style for your space and need. The links to the right will take you to each of the different categories of beaded curtains.

Real Metal Beaded Curtains - Real Metal Beaded Curtains are used for Home, Commercial and Retail Applications. Because they are inherently Fire-Retardant, many Casinos and Special Event Venues Love Chain curtains to Create a high-end look of moving architecture. You may have even seen the chain curtains at your local Whole Foods Stores! Our Real metal Beaded Curtains are available in a variety of Beads and Finishes and are fully customizable. We have different types of Linking Chain as well as BallChain Curtains. You may order them in ready-made sizes from the website or contact us to make any custom size you'd like to fit your space. Here's a video showing samples of our Custom Made Metal Chain and Acrylic Beaded Curtains.

Bamboo and Wood Beaded Curtains - Wooden Beaded Curtains are most popular for home use. Generally these curtains are 3 feet wide and between 6-7 feet long. You can see through them, so they are probably not always the best choice for adding privacy unless you choose one of our Wood Curtains that has a lot of strands. We usually see these curtains used in doorways, but they are just as awesome when hung from the ceiling and used as a room divider. You can hang them right next to each other to cover wider spaces. We have filmed a few videos to help you understand how the Wooden Beaded Curtains might look in your home. See the video here.

Acrylic Beaded Curtains - Our largest category of Beaded Curtains is by far our selection of Acrylic Curtains. Our beads are the clearest, crispest, most fabulous that you will find. PERIOD. They are available in many dozens of bead styles and in lengths from 6 Feet Long to 24 Feet Long. They are used to create gigantic scenes for our Event Planners, Television and Movie Studios and more. Wedding designers use them in zillions of ways from Wedding Arch and Mandap Design to overhead Chandelier creation to Head Table Backdrop design. You can even hang Acrylic Curtains from the ceiling to create a Rectangular "Box" by using 4 of them. At home, Acrylic Curtains are used in windows, doorways, behind beds as a sort of headboard, strung on top of shower doors, and more. One sweet feature of Acrylic Curtains is that you can CUT the strands shorter if you want using scissors. The beads will not all fall off on the floor because our beads are "molded on thread". We can Customize the Acrylic Curtains for you right here in our Arizona Fabrication studios to make them longer, double or triple the Bead strand count, mix bead types into one curtain, add a metal flexible head rail, or put them on a fabric top for you. PVC Beaded Curtains - PVC is a material that"s like a thick but bendable plastic that is dye-cut into shapes. The shapes are then attached to one another using silver jump rings. What"s fabulous about PVC is that the "beads" can be really big without adding a ton of weight to the curtain. You can also add or take away length very easy using the jump rings. We have colors and PVC bead styles suited to subtle tastes to Hot Pink and green to suit the Wild at Heart. We have a very large selection of PVC Curtains and Chandeliers available. We"ve had a ton of famous designers work with us to create very special installations with our PVC beaded curtains where they"ve made ENORMOUS designs that just would not be possible if not for the light weight of these beads. Watch PVC magic in action!

Painted Bamboo Beaded Curtains - The Plain Bamboo and Painted Bamboo Beaded Curtains have thousands of tubes of bamboo strung onto either wire or fiber line. This is a popular choice for home use in doorways. We also have a lot of customers who love Bamboo Curtains to hide the contents of a closet or pantry where the doors have been removed. Because of the high strand count, these will obscure what is behind them, although they will not offer 100% coverage. As an example, we would not recommend using this as a dressing room dooreyou might be giving more of a show than you want. We filmed a helpful video to show what kind of coverage you"ll get with a Bamboo Plain or Bamboo Painted Beaded Curtain that you can watch if you have a minute. Watch this video to decide if a Bamboo Painted Curtain is right for you!

Flexible Top Beaded Curtains - Our Flexible Top Beaded Curtains are most often used for applications where a curved wall comes into play. We have ready-made Flexible Top beaded curtains that are on metal tops. They can be added directly to a wall, fixed into your existing track system, or added to trusses. We make Beaded Curtains on Flexible Tops, so you can choose your own beads, specify your sizes, and we"ll make whatever you need! We can even make a FABRIC Top beaded Curtain for you. Need grommets? We do that, too. Fabric Top curtains can have Velcro added to them if you wish. Check out these spectacular Flexible Top Beaded Curtain Installations HERE.

Beaded Curtains with Jump Rings - ALL of our PVC Curtains come with Jump Rings and several of our fancier Acrylic Curtains do, too. The beauty of Jump Rings, as described above in the PVC information is that those jump rings allow you to add or subtract

Beaded Curtains for Special Event Use:

Before your event:
Our NUMBER ONE TIP for keeping your Beaded Curtains from tangling is to leave the curtains TIED until they are hanging in place.
After your event:
Follow these steps to make sure that you can easily re-use your curtains again and again. This will save a tremendous amount of time at your next event!
  1. While the curtains are in still hanging in place, use twist ties to bundle the strands together like a long pony tail.
  2. Starting at the header bar,  take 10 or 12 strands in hand and wrap a twist tie (or other  banding material like twill ties, ribbon, etc) around the strands to create the pony tail.  Wrap the pony tail with a twist tie every 3 feet along its length from top to bottom.
  3. Now lay the header bar into the box.  Place the "pony tails" in the box by working them back and forth across the width of the box.
  4. Make sure that the ties are visible and not bound too tightly.  You want to be sure it is easy to remove the ties and reuse the panels without accidentally cutting the strands.
  5. If using twill ties or ribbon, it is best to tie a bow for closure and not a hard knot.

How to Untangle a Beaded Curtain:

Our beaded curtains, no matter the bead type, all come hanging on their own rod. The beads are already inserted into this rod. You just follow the simple directions below (basically take 2 nails and put 'em up!) and you will have your beaded curtain up in no time at all!

HOT TIP FOR HANGING BEADED CURTAINS WITHOUT TANGLING: - To avoid tangling of your Beaded Curtains, we highly recommend that you do not untie the ties that are around the strands of your curtain. Hang your curtain first. After your curtain is hung, THEN remove the ties.

HOT TIP FOR STORING BEADED CURTAINS WITHOUT TANGLING: - If you are using our Beaded Curtains for temporary installations, you can easily keep them nice if you follow these directions. Before taking your Beaded Curtains down, tie the strands together before taking them down. Grab all of the strands about 2 feet from the top hanging rod and tie some sort of thick ribbon (so you can easily see it) around all of the strands. Then move several feet down the curtain and tie the strands again using the same method as above. This will allow you to then take down your curtain and place it into a storage bag. We use all kinds of things from long duffel bags, to large kitchen trash bags, to under-bed storage boxes for our Beaded Curtains. If you use large kitchen trash bags to store them and wrap the bag tight around the beads, the beads will stay nice. Try to store your beaded curtains so that they are not sliding and shifting around each other to avoid scratching of the beads. You'll get a longer lifespan of sparkle this way! The nice thing about Acrylic Beaded Curtains is that they can also be polished using furniture spray like Liquid Gold and a rag.

HOT TIP FOR UNTANGLING BEADED CURTAINS: - You're dealing with many strands of beads, so sometimes some tangles are just plain unavoidable. Or, perhaps you had a "helper" who made a mess of your curtain. If you find that you've got a tangled Beaded Curtain, please hang it up before you try to untangle it. Make sure that the rod is hanging high enough so that the strands do not touch the ground. Even if your curtain is 12 feet long or longer, it's MUCH easier to start untangling it if you are able to hang it up in the air high enough so that the beads do not touch the ground. Never try to untangle a beaded curtain while it is lying on the ground. You're likely to start cursing like a sailor and setting things on fire.

There are two eyelets at the top of each beaded curtain rod that you can use to hang your Beaded Curtains. For event installations, many of our clients use zip-ties to affix the curtains to their existing structures such as trusses or other frame work.

For Home Beaded Curtain Installations: To hang from the door frame you need: two screw-in type of "C" or "cup" hooks. These are the little ones you can find in almost any store. They are used to hang plants primarily. Just screw the hooks into the door frame and slip your curtain over the hooks. You are done! To hang your curtains against the wall or to attach flat to the doorframe you just need to regular old nails! Put the nails in the wall, slip the hooks on the curtain rod over them, and you are done!

We also offer magnets with c-hooks which are great for hanging beaded curtains from metal drop-ceilings.
