The mat is a 20" square on a plastic grid encased in a heavy-duty brown plastic frame that is a popular landscaping choice. The height or thickness ranges from 3" to 5" - this wall is very full and provides excellent coverage. The variety of plants extend far over the edge of the mat, about 1" to 1 1/2", going over the edge of the frame. The Frame is 1.6" deep and 19.6" square.
