Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin' Eve - Diamond Crystal Columns
If you rang in the New Year with Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin' Eve this year, you saw a great example of a fully produced extravaganza, with lots of sparkle, style, and Seacrest. We can't help you get Ryan Seacrest (though we are sympathetic to the goal), but we can show you how the designers for one of the biggest TV nights of the year were able to add a lot of visual impact indoors and out with one versatile piece of decor. If Diamond Crystal Columns add glamour to Times Square on New Year's Eve, we think that they are officially awesome enough for wedding and event venues as well, especially in what we expect will be a year full of themes that emphasize Old School glamour and luxury.

The things that we love about these diamond crystal columns: They add a lot of vertical definition even to very large spaces. It is easy to add Lighting to change their color, both during the course of one event and at different events. And they sparkle like crazy, with natural light or event lighting.

(The things that we love about Ryan Seacrest: Um, that *smile* will melt butter. Beautiful brown eyes. And he wears a tux for New Year's Eve. Sold.)

In this indoor shot from the New Year's festivities (2nd photo), you can see how great the columns look in window light, making them an especially good choice for events that span daytime and nighttime hours. They are also a great way to add definition and interest in a large room, or to hide support poles and infrastructure.

And one of the most creative uses that we've ever seen of the same diamond crystal columns is in the 3rd photo, a lounge chandelier designed by Fouad Farah for Sip Social Lounge in St. Petersburg, Florida. He trimmed the columns to create the asymmetrical bottom edges, and again the lighting finishes off a stunning design while allowing flexibility to change the entire color scheme easily.

For daytime and nighttime events and weddings, we think that these columns will fit in perfectly with the luxe themes that we expect to see in weddings and entertainment in 2013. We would love to see how you use diamond crystal columns at your next event.

Photos of the indoor set show the main decor pieces being our Diamond Crystal Columns purchased by Walt Disney Company for ABC. ShopWildThings is a preferred vendor for the Disney Companies.
